PASTOR DELORES FORD-EDWARDS (Senior Pastor and Shepherd of the House)

Elder Delores Ford-Edwards succeeded Dr. Standley Diggs, DD, as Senior Pastor and Shepherd Leader of Love Divine Ministries and Love Divine Family Worship Center.

She is a woman of wisdom, ethics, honor, and valor. Pastor Delores flows in the office of a servant leader and in the Five-Fold Ministry Gifts. Her gifts and talents are most pronounced as she walks in her calling as an administrator, teacher, exhorter, and healer. As Senior Pastor of Love Divine Family Worship Center, Pastor Delores was consecrated, ordained, and installed as Chief Elder and Pastor by Bishop Richard Pender, Sr. Presiding Bishop of Bethel Temple Churches in October of 2012. She served faithfully under the tutorage of the church’s founder, Dr. Stanley Diggs, DD, and the mantel of leadership was passed on to Pastor Delores, after his transition and call to be with the Lord.

Much like Pastor Stan, Pastor Delores, also fondly referred to by many as Pastor Dee, has a Pastor’s heart and a profound love for God’s people. She strongly encourages others to dream their dreams, and embrace their divine purpose through encouragement, prompting and challenging of those under her watch care to grow, spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically.

Pastor Delores is a Worshipper and strongly believes the words spoken by Jesus in the gospel of John 4:23.

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and Truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship Him."

She further teaches that our lives should be lived as “Worship to God”, and that we must walk daily in the truth of His Word.

Pastor Dee received her formal education in Maryland. She’s the recipient of a bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University where she graduated with honors and was inducted as a member of Alpha Kappa Mu, National Honor Society. She holds a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and Community Planning which she obtained in 1984.

Pastor Delores is the wife of (soon to be installed as) Elder Warren A. Edwards. The couple has known each other for over forty-six years and married in 1980. As in life, they work closely in ministry and are the founders of King Edwards Inc. (KEI) A Licensed Child Placement Agency, located in Towson Maryland. Their community-outreach ministry thru King Edwards was established in 1995 to serve at-risk youth ages 17 to 21 years of age, who were committed to the State of Maryland and needed to be prepared for independence and to exit the foster care system.

Trained, licensed, and certified as a psychotherapist, Pastor Dee, provides individual, marital, and family counseling to those in the Body of Christ, through Counseling/Consultation and in private practice.

In September of 2019, Pastor Delores retired from KEI, and currently serves full-time in ministry with Love Divine and in private practice.
